What Is America’s 250th Anniversary?

In 2026, the United States will celebrate its Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This historic milestone, also known as America 250, marks two and a half centuries of courage, perseverance, and faith. This celebration is a reflection of what binds us together: faith, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. A journey that began in 1776 — and still continues today.

From the beginning, faith was woven into America’s story. The Founders — though diverse in belief recognized the guiding hand of Providence in their pursuit of liberty. They knew that true freedom required more than independence from tyranny; it required moral strength and godly conviction. They also understood they could lose it all for the freedom they pursued. Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence did.

As America approaches its 250th year, we know the world has changed — but the foundation hasn’t. At True Light Designs, that conviction inspired the creation of our 250th USA Anniversary Hoodie — a wearable tribute to faith and freedom. The design features a weathered U.S. map adorned with the 13-star Betsy Ross flag, surrounded by the words in blue: 

“250 years later, In God, We Still Trust!”
